“When will you be happy”. One student replied, “I’ll never be happy”, a deeply sad moment with the silver lining that interventions like these can help students disclose personal feelings to those they trust in order to find the help they need.
Gunpowder, Treason and Plot brought to life the history of Lyveden New Bield using a spectacular combination of large scale projections and lighting, alongside an original soundtrack with live performance.
Encounters: Journeys through language and landscape, was a series of temporary artist installations and interventions, performances and artist led walks, along a three mile route from Fermyn Woods Country Park to Lyveden New Bield during 2011
In 2006 Fermynwoods commissioned new sculptural work by Peter Randall-Page to be shown within the National Trust’s Lyveden New Bield, alongside an exhibition of new works on paper to be shown at Fermynwoods then gallery at the Water Tower.
In 2005 Fermynwoods Contemporary Art commissioned Watch This Space to create Hidden Tracks – an audio tour linking our then home at the Water Tower to the National Trust property Lyveden New Bield. A first hand experience that used new technology, ambient music and performance to create a unique vision of the past.
