Moving the Membrane was the third in our Wild Learning series of workshops, exploring the concepts of skins, membranes and surfaces, through writing in response to visual, audio and experiential prompts provided by poet and drummer Remi Graves.
The Fruits of the Forest workshop, led by artist and printmaker Claire Morris-Wright, focussed on foraging, mixing and processing the fruits and foliage available in Fermyn Woods as unique natural pestos and inks with which to create experimental prints.
Artist and writer Sarah Gillett visited Fermyn Woods in May 2018 to present our second Wild Learning workshop, Parts Unknown – a meditation on maps, emotional and physical orientation, and the night sky. Breaking from tradition, this workshop started late and continued into the night so participants could bring the stars down into the woods, constructing their own constellations.
