Board Recruitment

Fermynwoods is seeking to broaden the skills base of its Board of Trustees, a small group which works closely with staff to support and further the organisation’s artistic and educational mission.

We’re seeking expressions of interest from those with backgrounds or experience in financial management, fundraising, business development, and diversity and inclusion. We are also keen to hear from artists, young people, or those enthusiastic about our organisation with the energy and capacity to make a positive contribution.

COMMITMENTS

Fermynwoods’ Board of Trustees primarily ensures that the organisation operates in accordance with our charitable objects:

  1. To promote, assist and improve the arts for the public benefit.
  2. Encourage and advance the education of the public by increasing access to the
arts and in particular, but not exclusively, the visual arts.

The Board help set the strategic direction of the organisation, with Trustees’ particular skills supporting development in these areas.

Board members typically serve a minimum two-year term and generally give their time approximately 1 day per month, usually at our office in Thrapston, Northants, in addition to offering other support as appropriate.

Trustees are non-salaried but out of pocket expenses can be reimbursed.
