Last month Helen Stratford was Artist in Residence at Sudborough Green Lodge.
Helen’s work is located between live art, visual art, architecture and writing. Helen analyses the rhythms of daily life to investigate how we can rethink the power of the built environment within social, political, economic and emotional infrastructures. Previous projects by Helen include Pitch Marking which explores the method by which two Parishes set out a rugby pitch in the ‘new village’ of Cambourne in Cambridgeshire.
This residency gave Helen the opportunity to develop her practice, experimenting with an approach that facilitates experiences in architecture through creating drawings and frameworks where participants’ interactions create and lead the work.
